They struggle because leadership systems aren't intentionally designed.

Many business founders don’t set out to become great team leaders.

They start by building something meaningful — serving clients, solving problems, and creating opportunities.

As the business grows, the team grows too.

And the founder's role begins to shift.

• They’re no longer just doing the work

• Delegation and communication become essential

• Clarity around roles and expectations becomes critical

When expectations are not clear, responsibilities can overlap, decisions can bottleneck, and important tasks can fall through the cracks - creating ownership ambiguity, workload imbalance, and friction.

Blurry Ownership

Team members become unsure of when to take initiative.

Uneven Load

Tasks pile up for some, while the talents of others are underused.

Growing Friction

Misunderstandings erode trust among good people who care.

If you’re reading this and recognizing your team — it’s an important signal.

None of this means your team isn't capable.

It simply means leadership needs to evolve—together.

Clarity to Improve Now

a System to Keep Using as You Evolve

The Resonant Leader Process:

1.  Refine Your Leadership Style

What Usually Happens: You’re still holding too much — and you’re not sure what to delegate, or to whom.

The Resonant Leader Lab Approach:

  • Identify what's actually causing you stress and drag

  • Get clear on what only you should own

  • Define what can—and should—move off your plate

iconsformidsection_edited.png

What You Typically Hear:

"Delegate more. Communicate better. Empower your team."

Once you know what's coming off your plate, you're ready to see your team in a new light - and who is truly suited for what...

2. Discover Team Strengths and Gaps
icons-revised_edited.png

What Usually Happens: New processes don’t stick. More meetings lower productivity. And you’re left with feedback — but no real solutions.

The Resonant Leader Lab Approach:

What Most Teams Try:

More Meetings, More Feedback, New Processes and Systems

  • Discover how your team actually works — using objective, predictive data

  • Diagnose causes of miscommunication and conflict (not just the symptoms)

  • Uncover how to increase productivity by aligning work with each person's unique strengths.

Once you can clearly see what’s happening, the next step is deciding what to change — and how...

3. Turn Insights Into Action

So you’re no longer carrying the weight of everything — your team actually runs with you.

Where Most Teams Land:

Insight grows. But solutions are still guesswork — and trial and error begins.

iconsformidsection_edited.png

What Usually Happens: You see the problems more clearly — but nothing really changes.

The Resonant Leader Lab Approach:

  • Define clear decision ownership so work stops bottlenecking at you

  • Restructure roles and expectations so people can operate independently

  • Simplify how work and communication actually flow day-to-day

  • Replace trial-and-error with a clear, practical way to implement change

For nearly two decades, I’ve worked with leaders navigating growth, change, and team dynamics. As an MBA, management consultant, and certified professional coach, I’ve partnered with organizations ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies to support strategic change and operational, organizational, and systems improvements.

Across dozens of teams, I noticed a pattern: great people struggling to work well together — not due to lack of talent, but because they didn’t understand how to support each other's strengths, motivations, and knowledge.

I created Resonant Leader Lab because I enjoy working with founders who genuinely care about their people and want to lead with greater clarity, confidence, and intention.

I believe small businesses have a unique advantage when it comes to building strong teams. Large organizations often carry layers of legacy structure that are slow to change, while founders leading small teams have the opportunity to design their workplaces intentionally — creating cultures where people understand expectations, take ownership of their work, amplify a shared mission, and grow alongside the business.

Creating this kind of resonance in a workplace — where people listen, support one another, and contribute their strengths — sits at the heart of Resonant Leader Lab.
